BOND/DEPOSIT A deposit of 5 weeks rent is required This must be paid together with the first calendar month's rent, prior to the keys being released to the tenant. The payment must be made by bank transfer to the account details provided. The deposit will be held in the DPS throughout the term of the tenancy and refunded following the tenant's vacation, providing no costs have been incurred through damage or negligence on the part of the tenant. The deposit monies cannot, at any time, be utilised as payment for any part of rental due under the terms of the Agreement.
A holding deposit equivalent to no more than 1 weeks rent is required to process all new tenancy applications. If the tenant passes references the deposit can be used toward the security deposit or the first month's rent.
A holding deposit will not be refunded in circumstances where the tenant withdraws, fails a Right to Rent check or provides false or misleading information that materially affects their suitability to rent the property.
